Home again, home again, jiggety jig

Market last Saturday was great! I always love going to markets, poking around the stalls, and this time as a seller I managed to sell some of my tote bags. Happy, happy! It was great to be able to see in person the reaction from people as they see the bag, and what a thrilling experience it was to see people love the bags enough to buy them! 🙂

Here’s a picture that I took, with Corrie there tidying things up.

Belinda and Jade did a great job setting up our stall. In the picture there you can see Belinda’s cushions, Corrie’s Japanese fabrics, Jade’s smocks and pram blankies (a bit out of the picture there, sorry), and my bear softies and tote bags. We also had some bloggers visit us, hi ladies! 🙂

You can see more pictures and market reports from these three ladies who were there with me at the stall. All of us did pretty well at the market, and there’s sure to be more markets in our future. Look out for Belinda, Corrie and Jade at Kirribilli’s Art and Design Market in a few weeks time. I’m going to sit this one out and take a breather, and perhaps join them again later down the track.

Next up, some knitting.

I love markets too but I have to give myself a budget otherwise I get carried away, like on Saturday at your stall where I bought fabric when I don’t even own a sewing machine. I can’t wait to see more of your gorgeous handicrafts at the next market you join.

Whew! Well done – Markets are a hard gig to sustain – I did them solo for about 3 years…I would have loved to have done them with 3 other girlfriends.

Hi Claudine, found you off the blogs of Corrie, Jade & Belinda. Beautiful work, you are very clever indeed!! You look so much like a Claudine i went to primary school with – St Ives North?? I am with you, it’s lovely to be at home with the children & sew up a storm (i have to just admire knitters, i’m not one of you). Beautiful blog, i’ll add you to mine. Love that you have a passion for handmade in the hustle & bustle. Love Posie

Sounds like the four of you had a great time at the markets! Love your little bags.

Congrats on having the gumption to give the markets a go! Must check out Kirribilli markets one day, I’ve never been to it. I had a stall once at Mosman, it was probably the hottest day of the year and I swore I’d never do it again! I’m a much better shopper thank stallholder I think! Be sure to let us know when you’re going to go back and do another market!
