Four

My little baby turns four today… How did that happen?!

We had cake before she went to preschool this morning.

And of course now that she’s four, she’s a lot more mature…

In the garden

Lavender

Lavender from a shrub next to the front door of my building. The scent is heavenly whenever a breeze passes by!

And the other day I got hold of this book from my local library. It’s a quirky and perhaps kitschy kind of book, full of patterns for knitted cottages and gardens like these…

And my favourite, a “garden bed”, hehehe…

Show and tell…

Had a lovely morning yesterday meeting up with some crafty ladies — Jade, Belinda, Mel, Bianca, Suzy, Marina, and Allison. Thanks for coming ladies, I had a great time!

I was the lucky recipient of this fantastic apron made by Marina in our little lucky dip.

And of course, I got to see in person the red linen smock that Jade made for Annette. It’s even more beautiful in real life! And it fits Annette perfectly. The workmanship and attention to detail is just amazing, like nothing I’ve seen on store-bought clothes. This is one garment made with care!

I think Annette loves it too. I got her to try it on and she almost didn’t want to change out of it 🙂

C’est fini!

Finally, a finished object on this blog! 🙂

Ribbon edged cardigan (sans ribbon)

This is the cardigan that I knitted for Jade‘s bub as part of our swap. It’s the “Ribbon Edged Cardigan” pattern from Special Knits, but without the ribbon edging.

I’m very excited about this swap! I sure had fun knitting this. And just LOOK at what Jade has made for Annette! I love it! Can’t wait to see it in person.

Another WIP

Some mill ends from Kaalund Yarns in lots of colours, thinking of making something for Annette.

I’m also participating in this 30 day macro photo challenge during April, that Karin of Orange Flower is organising. So the photo above is my first one. The idea is to post a photo taken with the macro (or close up) setting on the camera each day (I might miss days here and there though).

If you’re not sure about how to use macro setting on your camera, there’s some info and links here to get you started.
